Display and Processor
The Android One Phones have a 4.5 Inch display while the new Moto G now has a larger 5 Inch display. The display is the highlight of Moto G with great colors, 720p pixels, Gorilla Glass 3 protection and great viewing angles. The IPS LCD Display on Android one phones have lesser 854 X 480 pixels and ok viewing angles. The display is very usable, but doesn’t come close to what Moto G is offering. Camera and Internal Storage
All Android One phones have 5 MP rear AF unit which can be considered an average performer. Besides Xiaomi Redmi 1S, the camera can compete with almost all devices you find in this price range. The new Moto G improves over the 5 MP unit from previous generation and flaunts a slight improved 8 MP rear shooter with improved performance. The internal storage in Android One phones is 4 GB and 32 GB of MicroSD storage can also be stacked as secondary storage. The new Moto G on the other hand offers 16 GB internal storage, expandable by 32 GB. Some apps and their parts can be moved to SD card.
Battery and Other Features
Battery capacity is 1700 mAh on Android One devices and 2070 mAh on the new Moto G. The new Moto G gives better battery backup than Android One Phones but isn’t as long lasting as its predecessor. Both phones run on Latest Android 4.4.4 Kitkat with promised Android L upgrade. The Moto G UI is also very close to stock android, but comes with slight customizations and a few pre-loaded apps. Also Moto G with front facing speakers has much nicer built then Android One smartphones and that’s a reasonable compromise considering the price difference.

Conclusion
The Android One program is still in its nascent stages and perhaps the next wave of devices with Qualcomm chipset will be a better competition to Moto G. The Android One phones will offer good and pure Android experience at less than half of Moto G price, but that comes with some compromises like scanty internal storage and not very convincing battery backup.
