The Coolpad Max runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Cool UI 8.0 on top. It features a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) 2.5D curved display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It comes with a pixel density of ~401ppi. While the Chinese variant of Coolpad Max was powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 615, the Indian variant is powered by a 64-bit 1.5GHz octa-core Snapdragon 617 processor with Adreno 405 GPU. The device comes with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage which can be further expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The device comes with a hybrid SIM slot that can be used as a microSD slot to expand storage. The Coolpad Max sports a 13 MP primary camera with an Isocell sensor, phase detection autofocus (PDAF), dual-tone LED flash and f/2.0 aperture. On the front, there is a 5 MP camera with the OV5648 sensor and f/2.2 aperture. The Coolpad Max comes with a ‘Dual In One’ system in which there is an external system anda secure, encrypted internal system. Here user’s calls and texts are encrypted for added security and privacy. This will also allow users to have two accounts on social apps such as WhatsApp, Facebook, BBM and other messaging apps. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. The device is powered by a 2800mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support. The company claims the battery can last up to 310 hours of standby time and up to 17 hours of talk time. The company has also claimed that 5 minutes of charge can provide up to 3 hours of talk time.
