Front Camera Samples

Front is equipped with a 8MP camera a LED flash. We took some selfies in natural and artificial light as well as in low light also. The camera quality was decent for a 8MP camera and the images came out to be detailed and sharp. Even the indoor shots were good and had very less amount of noise to it. Not the best front camera we’ve seen so far but still a good one.

Rear Camera Samples

On the rear Gionee S6s is equipped with a 13MP camera with LED flash. Below are the samples in Artificial light, Natural light and Low light.

Artificial Light

Natural Light

In natural lighting condition, it performed well and the images came out be sharp and level of details were also quite good. The images look natural and the color saturation was also good. This device also quick when it comes to focusing on the subject. Overall the performance is just like an average 13MP camera and nothing very exceptional here.

Low Light

We didn’t expected any exceptional shots, but the output was overall  just kind of okay. The images were acceptable but had a fair amount of noise to it. Overall images came out to be below average in the low light scenario.

Camera Verdict

Gionee S6s features a good set of cameras. The 13-megapixel auto-focus rear camera takes good shots and the front 8MP camera isn’t bad either, but both cameras performs average and nothing very exceptional considering that it’s a camera focused device. Honestly speaking, we expected slightly better overall front camera performance. We’ve to say that cameras are decent, but equally good smartphone cameras are available at a cheaper price.
