The search navigation tab has been improved and it will now show more relevant and meaningful information. The UI of Google Finance has also been tweaked to make information more presentable for the users. This new and improved Google Finance now shows the users the latest market news, company insights, as well as information on stocks the users have chosen to follow. Moreover, based on the kind of stocks and companies you are following, Google will also recommend you other companies or stocks you might be interested in. Market indices and currency related information too, is displayed on this new and updated Google Finance page. This new and updated Google Finance section can be accessed by searching for anything related to finance on Google Search, then tapping on ‘more’ and then selecting ‘finance’. Alternatively it can also be directly accessed here. While Google has introduced some new features with this update to Google Finance, some older features have been retired as well. Following this revamp to their finance section, Google has decided to retire features such as portfolio and historical tables. With portfolio gone, there’s no longer a way to download your portfolio as well. However, the stocks which existed in your portfolio would now be added to the stocks of choice and the information around these stocks will continue being shown to the users. This new interface does sure look more modern and fluid compared to the older UI and Google is working on adding more features in it. The Finance page has a feedback link on the bottom and Google is looking forward towards more user feedback to improve it.
