Steps to link vaccination certificate to passport
If you have registered on CoWIN using a different photo ID other than a passport, you can link your vaccination certificate to your passport by visiting the Cowin portal. So if you have already taken the vaccine, follow the steps below in order to do this: 2. Once you are logged in, click on the “Raise Issue” option next to the beneficiary whose passport is to be linked.
Under this dropdown you will see these options — Certificate Correction, Merge Multiple Dose #1 Provisional Certificates, and Add Passport Details.
You can click on “Add Passport Details” and you will be redirected to a new page where you can select the member whose passport details you want to add.
Here, select the member from the drop-down, and enter his/her passport number in the respective section. Make sure to enter the correct passport number, as you will be allowed to change these details only once.
Once you entered the correct passport number, check the declaration box.
Lastly, click on the “Submit Request”.
That’s it. You will then receive a message on your registered mobile number confirming that your passport details request has been submitted.
Download Vaccine Certificate Linked to Password
This process takes a few seconds to update and after that, you will receive another message that your request has been updated successfully. After that, you can download your new certificate again. For this, go back to your CoWIN account page and then click on the “Certificate” button next to the name of the member whose details you have added.
