The display size and resolution of this refreshed Ascend Mate remain same as its predecessor. The IPS LCD display size is 6.1 inch and the display resolution is 720p HD. Huawei claims that the IPS Panel used is better than the predecessor phablet. The Chinese version of this device will use Hisilicon’s SoC, which houses 1.6 GHz quad core processor based on Cortex A9 architecture. The International version will sport, Snapdragon MSM8928 SoC which is Snapdragon 400 with 4 Cortex A7 based cores clocked at 1.6 GHz and assisted by Adreno 305 GPU. The RAM capacity is 2 GB and internal memory is 16 GB. You can further extend it using microSD card support. On the software front, you will get Android 4.2.2 jelly bean operating system with Emotion UI2.0 on top.

The primary camera employs a 13 MP F/ 2.0 second generation BSI sensor from Sony.
