The Intex Aqua Octa which was previously named Intex Aqua i17 in the prototype version, houses the Mediatek true Octa Core chipset, MT6592, with the processing power of 8 cores clocked at 1.7 GHz . The Benchmark scores of the chipset displayed on the Mediatek official website and elsewhere promise optimal performance. The Octa core processor is backed by Mali 450 MP4 GPU (700 MHz),  2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage which is extendable to 32 GB using microSD card. The display of Intex Aqua Octa is 6 inches in size with 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) across it. This gives you 244 pixels per inches, which though is not as sharp compared to high end devices, will be pretty usable. On the software front this phone runs on Android 4.2 jelly bean operating system.

The primary Autofocus camera is of 13 MP and is capable of full HD video recording and enjoys LED Flash support. The 5 MP front facing camera is also present for selfies and video chat. The Intex Aqua Octa features dual Yamaha 1420 speakers with 1.2 W output for high quality multimedia experience. The Battery capacity is 2300 mAh which is not impressive on a 6 inch Phablet. You will probably have to throw in extra money for a battery bank. Connectivity features include 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and aGPS. Intex is offering a large display Phablet at a competitive price to take head on the MT6589T Full HD devices in India like Micromax Canvas Turbo, Gionee Elife E6, etc. Apart from the apparently feeble battery every aspect looks pretty decent on paper in this Dual SIM smartphone.
