Camera and Internal Storage

The rear camera sports 13 MP sensor with LED flash paired with a 5 MP front selfie shooter. Judging by the MP count this is the most you can expect in this price range. Of course MP count is no judge for camera quality, but detailed 13 MP sensors is a positive. Internal storage is 8GB and can be further expanded by another 32 GB using MicroSD card support. 16 GB storage would have been better at this price, but native storage won’t be a deal breaker for most.

Processor and Battery

The processor used is 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 410 quad core with Adreno 306 GPU and 2 GB RAM. The same chipset is also available in handsets with almost half the price, the latest instance being Yuphoria, but is still powerful enough for basic and moderate users. Battery capacity is 2150 mAh, which doesn’t sound very impressive for the price. With several impressive big battery phones coming from Lenovo camp, slightly more battery juice would have been much more appealing. Perhaps the capacity has been compromised to accommodate slim profile (7.7 mm) of S60.

Display and Other Features

The display used is 5 inches in Size with 720p HD resolution. It is an IPS LCD display for enhanced brightness and wide viewing angles. Lenovo hasn’t mentioned Gorilla Glass protection layer on top. Software is Android 4.4 KitKat based Vibe UI and is upgradeable to Android Lollipop. Other features include 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The handset measures 143.3×72 x 7.7mm and tips the scale at 128 Grams.

Conclusion

Lenovo S60 doesn’t offer an immaculate specs sheet as its flash sale rivals. Lenovo is majorly targeting offline market with this slim and sleek handset which does several things right. If you are a basic or moderate user and put fait in Lenovo branding, the handset is worth considering.
