Lenovo launched its mid-range Z5 Pro with Snapdragon 710 chipset in China back in November. Now, the company has announced its Z5 Pro GT version which is the first phone with Qualcomm’s latest 7nm chipset. It sports carbon fiber finish at the back under the glass and Red & Black accents on the sides just like a sports car. That’s why they might have named it Z5 Pro GT.
Lenovo Z5 Pro GT Specifications
The Lenovo Z5 Pro GT sports a 6.39-inch Full HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) Super AMOLED panel with Gorilla Glass protection. It sports 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 2.07mm bezels making a high 95.06% screen-to-body ratio. It has a sliding mechanism that pops out the front camera and also hides the camera, earpiece and the IR face unlock sensor.
Under the hood, it is powered by the latest octa-core Snapdragon 855 7nm processor with Adreno 640 GPU. Memory wise, it packs up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB internal storage. The smartphone runs Android 9.0 Pie with ZUI 10 on top.
In terms of camera, there is a 16MP primary rear camera with Sony IMX519 sensor, f/1.8 aperture, and a 24MP secondary camera with Sony IMX576 sensor, f/1.8 aperture. Up front, there is a 16MP camera with f/2.2 aperture and an 8MP secondary IR Camera for face unlocking. Connectivity options on the phone include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C, and NFC. It doesn’t sport 3.5mm headphone jack but comes with USB Type-C audio. It also has Dolby Atmos support. It packs a 3350mAh battery with fast charging support.
Price, availability
The Lenovo Z5 Pro GT price starts at 2698 yuan (Rs. 27,700 approx.) for the 6GB/128GB version. The 8GB/128GB version costs 2998 yuan (Rs. 31,000 approx.). The 8GB/256GB version is priced at 3398 yuan (Rs. 35,000 approx.). Lastly, the top-end 12GB/512GB version is priced at 4398 yuan (Rs. 45,280 approx.). The Z5 Pro GT will go on sale from January 24 in China.
