The MT6595 SoC is built on big.LITTLE architecture with integrated Cat 4 4G LTE. 4G LTE is on the boom in India, and its right time for MediaTek to introduce a chipset which supports it. The integrated modem will support both TD-LTE and FD-LTE and thus will work with all upcoming and existing telecom operators 4G LTE networks.

There are 4 Cortex A17 cores clocked at 2.2 GHz and other four Cortex A7 cores ticking at 1.7 GHz. Graphics will be handled by PowerVR G6200 that is capable of handling 4K2K video playback and recording.

The chipset can support up to 20 MP camera, Bluetooth LE and ANT+, up to WQXGA (2560 X 1600) pixel resolution, high performance audio DAC with 110 SNR and WiFi ac. MediaTek claims that this chipset will be more powerful than existing Samsung Exynos alternatives (Exynos 5430 Octa ?) and other high end SoCs. Thanks to MediaTek CorePilot technology, all 8 cores can function simultaneously if load requires them to. MediaTek claims off the roof 47,233 Antutu benchmark score, which puts the SoC at par with the best in day to day  performance.

“MediaTek is focused on delivering full range of 4G LTE Platforms, and MT6595 is the first of many to arrive in India. Our 4G LTE solutions support all modes including TDD LTE, which is important for India because the infrastructure provided in the country are currently focused on TDD LTE networks” Said Dr. Finbarr Mohniyan, General Manager, Corporate Sales International, of MediaTek
