Nokia has recently announced three budget phones in UK namely, Nokia 207, Nokia 208 and Nokia 208 Dual SIM. We expect these devices to soon find their way in the Indian market as part of the Nokia Asha series. These devices support 3G connectivity, which shifts them to the category of selected few devices in Nokia Asha Series with 3G connectivity and hot spot feature like Nokia Asha 501 which we recently covered.
Nokia 207 and Nokia 208 both have the standard candybar design feature and will be available in four bright colors red, cyan, white and black. They come with a 2.4 inch display with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels, which is a standard resolution for this Display price and price range. The splash proof keypad of this device sports 12 buttons. The major difference between Nokia 207 and Nokia 208 is of the rear 1.3 MP camera present in Nokia 208. Apart from the camera you will also get features like sequential shot, panorama mode and voice guided self portrait. The dual SIM variant also offers swappable SIM card functionality. The most eye catching feature of these phones is that they offer 3G connectivity along with Hotspot feature. This is not a very common feature in Nokia Asha series and will attract various users interested in high speed internet connectivity. Other connectivity features include Bluetooth 3.0, micro USB and 3.5 mm AV connector. The battery capacity of this phone is 1020 mAh which will give you 3.5 Hour talk time on 3g and 12 Hours on 2G. The standby time of these phones is up to 33 days, which is in sync with Nokia’s reputation for high battery backup in budget phones.
