Earlier this week a OnePlus 5 user reported a bug that makes the device reboot immediately after dialing emergency numbers like ‘911’ (US). So, fix the issue the company has released a new OxygenOS 4.5.6 hotfix update. “We have been in touch with the customer and have tested a software update that has resolved the issue. We will be rolling out the software update shortly,” OnePlus said in a statement. The flagship phone from the company has had some issues after the release. First, there was the Jelly Scrolling effect, then there was the audio issue followed by issues related to the Wi-Fi. And, this latest “911 reboot” issue have joined the list now. Earlier this month OnePlus released OxygenOS 4.5.5 update for OnePlus 5 that brought refinement to Wi-Fi connectivity and fixes the Wi-Fi signal consistently displayed weak, along with improvements in voice calling and more. The OxygenOS 4.5.6 update is just 32MB in size. It doesn’t include any other features, fixes or improvements apart from this fix. According to the company, the update is incremental and it will reach to an only small percentage of users currently. The broader OTA roll out of bug fix will be supposed to happen soon.
