Apart from the latest update, OnePlus is also planning for the next update based on the early user feedback to improve the cameras of the new flagship. OnePlus 5T went on sale just this week only and it will be having a software update by the time it reaches to the users. The OxygenOS 4.7.2 update for OnePlus 5T is sized at 107MB. As per the official changelog on the OnePlus forum, the OxygenOS update brings optimisations for fingerprint unlock and the much talked about face unlock feature as well. There is also an improved accuracy for screen off gestures to improve the experience.

The OxygenOS 4.7.2 update also improves the EIS (electronic image stabilization) in the rear camera while recording 4K videos. Additionally, the update also patches the Wi-Fi WPA2 KRACK vulnerability which was also reported on the OnePlus 5. OnePlus, had released the OxygenOS 4.5.14 update for the OnePlus 5 to fix that. As mentioned, OnePlus also plans to release a new software version to enhance the camera on the OnePlus 5T. The company’s co-founder Carl Pei posted on the OnePlus forum saying that their team has already begun working on three areas of the OnePlus 5T camera. First thing being improved is low light photography especially when it comes to details in the low light pictures. Further, it aims at improvement in front camera for selfies to have a more natural exposure. Moreover, the beautification mode on by default in certain markets in Asia is also going to be left out. The upcoming update is expected to arrive early December for all users. “We expect to start testing it among a private group next week, and roll it out to everyone in early December,” writes Carl further.
