The Realme Narzo 10A is priced at Rs. 8,499, which is costlier than Realme C3 that retails at Rs. 7,999 for the same version. Narzo 10A First Look Review

Old Design in New Avatar

  The Narzo 10 A comes with the same old plastic and glass design that has a scratch-proof texture on the back panel. The Narzo 10A comes in So Blue and So White colors. Dimensions of the handset are 164.4x75x8.95mm and its weight is 195g.

     

Same HD+ Display

If we talk about the front, it has a 6.52-inch HD+ (1600 x 720 pixels) Mini-drop notch display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and 89.8% screen-to-body ratio. The display also has Corning Gorilla Glass 3+ protection.

The display is good indoors but it has a small issue and that is brightness. It has a very low brightness level and that’s why its daylight visibility is also not that good.

   

Same Helio G70 Processor

The phone is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio G70 processor. The 12nm SoC has 2x 2GHz Cortex-A75 and 6x 1.7GHz Cortex-A55 CPUs. It comes with ARM Mali-G52 2EEMC2 GPU.

The SoC is paired with 3GB LPDDR4x RAM and 32GB eMMC 5.1 storage. As per this price segment, this processor is good enough for day to day tasks. This phone has one drawback- only 32GB storage, which is, however, expandable up to 256GB with microSD

Same camera with a macro sensor

  The triple camera setup on the back of the phone has a 12MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture, LED flash, PDAF, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP 4cm macro sensor.

Use of Macro Camera

This is the same camera as Realme C3. However, this time the company has included a 2MP macro camera as well.

There is a 5MP front camera for selfies, which is the same as Realme C3. It also clicks the same selfies as the previous models.

Latest Software

The smartphone runs on the latest realme UI that is based on Android 10., which is an upgrade over C3, which was launched with the ColorOS 7.

Same Big Battery

The phone is powered by a big 5000mAh battery that comes with 10W charging. This is also the same as the Realme C3.

Is the Fingerprint Sensor Useful?

It sports a fingerprint scanner on the back below the triple camera module. This is the difference form Realme C3, which doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor at all. However, you wouldn’t find this fingerprint sensor that much useful as it is not very quick.

Connectivity

The handset features a dedicated dual SIM and microSD card slots, which is a good thing. Other connectivity features are Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5, GPS/ GLONASS/ Beidou, micro USB, and 3.5mm audio jack.

Should you buy?

Going by the specs and features, the phone seems a promising one in the budget segment. However, its price is a little bit higher for the segment which now starts at as low as Rs. 5,000 and also offers almost similar features. Realme’s own phone with the same G70 chipset comes at a lesser price, and what differences does it have from Narzo 10A, only a macro camera and a fingerprint reader. So, you should choose wisely.
