Samsung is planning to renew its affordable Galaxy J series in 2018. Earlier, another phone Galaxy J3 (2018) from the same series was spotted on GFXBench site revealing its specs. Now, we have got new reports about the Galaxy J2 Pro (2018) and Galaxy J5 Prime (2017) suggesting the specs of the phones.

Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro (2018) Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro (2018) was spotted on Geekbench benchmarking website.  bearing model number as the Samsung SM-J250F. As per the Geekbench testing, it scored a single-core score of 656 and multi-core score of 1,852.

Further, the listing reveals that the device is running Android 7.1.1 Nougat and is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. The phone’s listing on the brand’s website mentions that the device will come with dual-SIM slots. There is no further information available for the device.

Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime (2017) Specifications

Coming to the Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime (2017), the phone was spotted on GFXBench bearing the model number SM-G571. This is another benchmarking site whose listing reveals most of the specs of the phone.

As per listing, the Galaxy J5 Prime (2017) will come with a 4.8-inch HD display with 1280×720 screen resolution. It will be running Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The device will be powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core Samsung Exynos 7570 processor with Mali-T720 GPU. Memory and storage wise it will feature 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. In the camera department, there is a 12-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, face detection and LED flash. There is an 8-megapixel front camera. There no official announcement from Samsung about the launch and availability of the new Galaxy J series 2018. However, it is expected that the phones will be launched in early 2018. If we talk about pricing, these phones will be similar to their predecessors and priced in the budget category.
