Now, the Indian launch date of the latest Samsung flagships is officially out. The Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ will launch in India on March 6. While the pricing of the devices is not out yet, you can pre-order the phones from Samsung online Store.
Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ Specifications
For the uninitiated, the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ succeeds the Galaxy S8. The devices come with cutting edge specifications and the signature Infinity display from Samsung. While the looks have not changed much on the front, the back of the phone is redesigned with a revised fingerprint sensor placement and shiny new colours. The Samsung Galaxy S9 comes with a 5.8-inch display while the Galaxy S9+ gets a 6.2-inch panel. Both are Infinity displays with Super AMOLED panels and Quad HD+ resolution. While the Galaxy S9 gets a single 12MP camera with f/1.5/2.4 variable aperture, the Galaxy S9+ gets Dual 12MP cameras in a telephoto + wide angle configuration. Both devices come with OIS. In terms of hardware, the devices feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Octa-core processor in the USA and an Exynos 9810 chipset in other markets. That said, the phones vary in terms of RAM as the Samsung Galaxy S9 gets 4GB RAM and the Galaxy S9+ gets 6GB of it. Both devices come with up three storage choices i.e. 64GB/128GB/256GB. While the Galaxy S9 packs a 3,000 mAh battery, the bigger Galaxy S9+ packs a 3,500 mAh battery to power the bigger display. Both devices have the same Dual SIM 4G VoLTE capabilities with GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC (with Samsung Pay), USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm earphone jack.
