The Gear VR is a headset that can plug into the Galaxy Note 4 to create a virtual reality experience to the users. Also, on removing the visor, users can plug their Galaxy Note 4 into the Gear VR and its 2K display that is onboard will take charge.

To launch the Gear VR, Samsung appears has joined hands with Oculus that made the Oculus Rift that was later acquired by social networking giant Facebook. It works on a similar concept as the Google’s Cardboard VR. Samsung claims that the headset is comfortable to wear as it features flexible and soft cushioning and lightweight materials. The Gear VR is highly suitable to use with the Galaxy Note 4 for a realistic music, movies and gaming experience on the phablet. The Gear VR will be preloaded with special content as Samsung partnered with Legendary Pictures and Marvel bringing in more focus on entertainment. Also, it will be provided with 100,000 HD music videos, live concert events and more from Vevo. Apart from these freebies, the headset will be available in Frost White via the Samsung online channel and will be made available through carriers by the end of the year. However, the pricing of the Gear VR will be revealed only during its launch.
