The display is 5 inches in size and it flaunts HD 1280×720 pixel resolution. It is an IPS OGS full lamination panel with good viewing angles and accurate color reproduction. Furthermore, incorporating the OGS technology, the handset will boast of a relatively thinner build. But, you will not get the Corning Gorilla Glass protection that is seen in phones with even lesser price tags. The Spice Stellar 520 is fueled by Android 4.4 KitKat and it arrives with pre-loaded applications such as Spice Cloud, Whatsapp, Opera and OLX. In addition, Spice is providing a free flip cover worth Rs 500 with the purchase of the handset.

As of now, the Android phone users are crowded with a plethora of solid offerings from global vendors such as Motorola and Asus and a slew of local players like Micromax. With Spice having launched a Rs 8,999 priced quad-core KitKat based smartphone, the vendor enters a tough fight with the offerings from the aforementioned players. The 5 Inch HD display places it in the sparse segment of recent budget quad core kitkat phones, but this isn’t unique either. This phone will have a tough time distinguishing itself from the crowd.
