The first smartphone that will be launched under the Android One program is from Micromax and the device was showcased at the conference by the Google Vice President Sundar Pichai. While the details regarding the handset remain a tightly wrapped secret, few specs such as 4.5 inch display, micro SD card slot for expandable storage support and dual SIM functionality were alone showcased.
Now, a tweet from the notorious Twitter bound leakster @evleaks reveals the official name of the Micromax smartphone along with its specifications. As per this tweet, the handset will be dubbed Micromax One and it will include a 4.5 inch qHD display boasting a resolution of 960×540 pixels that will result in a pixel density of 244 ppi. It is also claimed that it will be stuffed with a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor under its hood.

Furthermore, it is tipped that the Micromax One will pack a 5 MP primary camera at its rear besides featuring a micro SD card slot, dual SIM functionality and FM Radio. The tweet also claims that the device will arrive in White and Black color options and feature a polycarbonate build. Obviously, the alleged specifications of the Micromax One smartphone will make it a stiff competitor to the Moto E smartphone with its competitive sub Rs 6,000 price bracket. While talking about Android One phones, main highlight is the software. Google will be providing with latest software updates, which enables budget phones to enjoy good Android experience for the first time!
