Camera and Internal Storage

The Wammy Passion X comes with a 13MP rear camera with a BSI sensor and LED flash which will support 1080p video recording. The secondary camera is a 5MP unit which gets the job done pretty well too. The internal storage of the Wammy Passion X stands at 16GB but it can be expanded via microSD card slot by another 64GB. This is a pretty nice touch on behalf of Wickedleak as its main competitors in the form of Elife S5.5 and Canvas Knight lack the functionality of expandable storage.

Processor and Battery

Powering the Wammy Passion X is a 1.7 GHz Octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor coupled with a Mali 450-MP4 GPU. 2GB of RAM is present aboard the device which ensures that you can multitask with ease at all times. The battery unit that gives the Wammy Passion X the juice to last roughly a day is a 2,500 mAh unit. The Wammy Passion X gets a slightly better battery unit than its main rival, the Canvas Knight which has a similar set of specs and has a 2,350 mAh unit inside doing the duty.

Display and Features

The Wammy Passion X gets a 5 inch display with OGS and a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The screen matches up to its competitors pretty well in terms of sharpness and clarity. It comes with Aqua Protect Technology which protects the device inside out from water and comes in as a pretty handy device. It gets Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with an ability to get OTA updates as well so rest assured, you can be treated to an upgraded version of Android in future.

Key Specs

Comparison

It will have the Micromax Canvas Knight and Intex Aqua Octa as its chief competitors with the former being the true competitor due to a really close set of specs. Considering the expected price range, it will also compete with Samsung Galaxy Grand 2, Nokia Lumia 1320 and Nexus 4

Conclusion

The Wickedleak Wammy Passion X looks good on paper but the company still does not have a well established after sales network that would support its cause. It is indeed a pretty capable device but might just lose out to the Canvas Knight. Nevertheless, if you can trust the Indian manufacturer, we suggest you try this smartphone if you were thinking of buying it and it won’t disappoint.
