Xiaomi has already announced to launch the selfie-centric Redmi Y3 with a 32MP front camera in India on April 24. Now the latest tweet from the company hints that it could also launch another phone on the same date. Redmi India tweeted that it has shipped more than 7 million Y series smartphones since the launch with emphasizing on the number 7. The tweet also says that they have more surprises lined up at the launch. So the company could also launch Redmi 7 on that day.

Xiaomi Redmi 7 Specifications

The Redmi 7 sports a 6.26-inch HD+ (1520 × 720 pixels) 19:9 display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is powered by Snapdragon 632 14nm processor paired with up to 3GB RAM. It packs 32GB storage that is expandable up to 512GB with microSD.

The smartphone runs on Android 9.0 Pie with MIUI 10 on top. Connectivity options include Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS, 3.5mm audio jack, micro USB port. It packs a 4000mAh battery. In terms of camera, it sports a dual camera set up at the back with a 12MP primary camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP secondary camera. There is an 8MP front camera. It sports a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor as well as an infrared sensor on top.

Redmi 7 Price in India (Expected)

The Redmi 7 was launched in China starting at 699 yuan (Rs. 7,150 approx.) for the 2GB/16GB version. However, it is likely to come with the 3GB/32GB version in India, so its price in India could start at Rs. 7,999.
