Camera and Internal Storage

The Xolo Win is pretty basic when it comes to camera capabilities as the tablet packs a mere 2 MP primary camera that is responsible for basic photography and a 1 MP front-facer for making video calls. The 10 inch form factor isn’t meant for photography and thus the imaging hardware has been kept fairly basic. When it comes to internal storage front, the tablet features 32 GB of internal storage space and also includes a microSD card slot supporting expandable storage. While this is impressive, Xolo has not yet revealed the maximum limit of additional storage supported by the tablet.

Processor and Battery

The Xolo Win is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core AMD Temash A4-1200 processor that is included under its hood and this is disappointing at this price range. This processor is also backed by an AMD Radeon HD 8180G GPU to handle intense graphics and 2 GB of RAM for efficient multi-tasking. In fact, Xolo had partnered with AMD in order to announce this new Windows 8.1 tablet that uses an AMD SoC. The battery capacity of the tablet is 3,550 mAh and it is rated to deliver a backup of up to 7 hours that makes it above average. If true, this is a decent amount, especially when it is used with Wi-Fi and other power hungry apps and services.

Display and Features

In terms of display, the Xolo Win features a 10.1 inch display packing a screen resolution of 1366×768 pixels. This display may not be the best in clarity, but it is acceptable for its mediocre quality. On the software side, the Windows 8.1 based Xolo Win comes pre-installed with Microsoft Office Suite comprising of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook and others.

Comparison

It has to noted that there are not many worthy Windows tablets in the market to fight with the Xolo Win. However, analyzing the likes of Xolo Win, the tablet is said to compete with the likes of Samsung Tab 3 8.0, Lenovo Yoga 10, iBall Slide 3G 7334Q-10 and Windows Phone tablets like Acer Iconia W4.

Price and Conclusion

The Xolo Win priced at Rs 19,990 doesn’t boast of an impressive spec sheet, but is more affordable than other 10 inch Windows 8.1 tablets out there. Its too early to judge the performance aspect, but the hardware seems to be optimized for basic usage.  Also, the device will have to struggle with its competitors in order to gain success.
